A tough decision was reached by Director Michael Black and the APRC Commissioners to place on hold the plans to replace the aging Daniel Meyer Pool. This is due to the loss of food and beverage tax dollars that were earmarked to fund the $2.9M project; additionally, other components of the project have become indefinitely delayed (such as obtaining the “tank” from a company in Italy). All of this is due to the Corona Virus pandemic. At this time it is not clear when the project might be re-activated. The Daniel Meyer pool will remain closed for Summer 2020.
